Impurities Stuck in ATO Reservoir Plastic?

So I just found out that my source of RODI as well as salt water is what has been causing my algae and Cyanobacteria issues.

Do I need to replace my ATO bucket (blue lowes bucket) or will it be ok to continue using with a new course of RODI water? Same question goes for the plastic jugs I use to transport the water home from my lfs.

No, you don't need to replace the containers. Just rinse them with some new RODI water and let them dry.

I wouldn't think the lowes buckets would leach anything, but then again the question would be if they are made from recycled plastics.

White buckets are more pure and have little or no dyes in them. If your unsure about the blue ones, switch to white.
