Where are fellow reefers getting their drip pans and trays? Also would love to see some ideas others have used for drip trays under the aquarium stand! Purchased or DIY.
The new tank arrives soon and I would love to be prepared.
Thanks!

I epoxy painted and caulked the bottom then I put water proof membrane tape

I am going to follow this bc I am setting up a new 240g tank, which I want the bottom of the stand to be as protected as I can make it from possible water leaks on the bottom of the stand.

I really like that setup! How is that tape holding up?
The tape is great we use it at work to flash windows and make the opening water proof as long as your not taking a razor to it it is perfect

Looks like ill be making a drip pan from hardwood plywood and mount it below the stand to catch any minor spills.

What kind of paint or epoxy do you use for sealing up plywood?
I need something very durable that will look good and last. Thanks!

I used epoxy spray paint for appliances it makes a think coat

[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106] I did the same I placed painters tape like 3 inches up in the walls from bottom then I sprayed the paint in white color then when it dries and you remove the tape it looks like a pan, it really sealed the wood and already proved not intentionally but when I was feeling my ATO container Overfilled with almost a gallon and the water stayed in the bottom not leaked anywhere so it's already water damage and leak proof!!! I used Thomson's Water Sealer on the wood, caulked the edges and placed a few layers of vinyl paint over it. Had my first water test when my filter sock overflowed and filled 3" of water in my stand. No leaks!

Just want to say thank you to you both. Its giving me some excellent ideas to my approach on this.
