I feel dumb for just now learning this… BRS, Ecotech, Neptune Systems, and AquaIllumination (AI) are all owned by the same parent company, Aperture Pet and Life.

Is this common knowledge? Nothing wrong with it, and I don’t think they are doing anything unsavory. Just makes me view the BRS TV equipment reviews with a bit more caution I guess. I love BRS TV content and am a frequent shopper of the store. Wonder if I can buy Aperture stock…

Aperture is just one of many businesses owned by Bertram Capital. Whether the Aperture brand portfolio is common knowledge I cannot say; it certainly is not a secret. I was never much for the BRS videos anyhow.

Dude, where have you been??? Evil empire stuff going on...

Brs: Hey you, simple hobbyist. You have a problem? You need to spend money.

Their videos are straight up commercials.
Using that skinny drug dealer looking guy to do it too

Here are 5 different granulated activated carbon

Here is how long they each took to take this ugly water and make it clear

Here are 12 exact tanks, cycling 12 different ways, which way is right for you

I don't know of anyone else doing the side by side 'experiment style' videos, on any product

They don't do those any more

They got their start selling "This is calcium chloride, that is sodium bicarbonate. Here is how you mix them. Here is how you dose them. And you can buy them in bulk, from us"

Instead of Buy Ryan's Seacret Sauce Voodoo Reef Juices

They've always been.

The worst is believing weekly water changes with $120 salt was necessary

Yeah, They got bought out and restructured. They are a private company, so no stock to buy.
