In case of an emergency

Guy a know started having issues with couple of his fish yesterday. Definitely was unprepared for the surprise. So got me thinking...am I prepared in case something comes up. Answer is, no I am not.
What are some things to keep on hand in case of an emergency does come up? I would like to be prepared to have a fighting chance for my fish

is there a preferred brand for methylene blue
And antifungal medication?

I like furan-2 for antibacterial. I use whatever Methylene blue is available.

I've been having more issues than normal with bacterial infections ..... thank goodness for Fish Flox!!!!

Nitrofuracin Green Powder is my new go to antibiotic/antiseptic

NFG powder is good, been using it for years; but for nasty bacterial infections its not all that effective. Fish Flox is cipro - well worth adding to the fish meds cabinet (good for treating anemone infections also).

Can you use Fish Flox with copper or CP treatment in progress? Are there any types of fish "not" to use with Fish Flox?

I have used FF with chloroquine phosphate and nitrofuracin green powder without issue (though you do need to do water changes between doses which makes it a bit inconvenient with CP); don't know about copper since I haven't used it in years. I have not needed to use FF with wrasses, but angels and anthias tolerate it just fine (does not seem to affect the appetite either).

Oh, as addendum ..... my preference is always to try to not mix meds only because the results may be variable with different fishes. Appreciate that it may be necessary in certain cases though.

Yeah, I know! Got some a while back from my vet, but he retired and the new guy is uncooperative. 'I don't treat fish' is his unhelpful response. Mine is long past expiration so who knows if it is even effective.
