Hi everyone,

I posted awhile ago how I'm new to the aquarium game, but I'm a graduate student looking to study cold-water coral. I've shared my experimental design (you can see it here: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/temperate-coral-research-tips-for-tanks-coral-maintenance.593285/) and asked some questions to the community.

Now we're nearing the end of the construction and I ran a quick 1st run on the system, and I'm having some distribution issues (I should have listened to @RJinPV ). You can see the video I've linked down below on what is happening.

Video: My idea is that instead of obviously routing the in-flow lines off to the left-hand side, I route it to the middle to distribute the flow evenly. What do you guys think? I'd love to discuss this in further detail.

Thanks!

first off you need a larger pump and valves at each water reservoir so you can adjust the water flow. you might be able to do with the pump you have but you might not get the gph you may need. also did you take in account the height of the pipe when you calculated your flow(gph) vs pressure as it takes a good amount to move the water 6'high or so.

i did not check your link but watched the video so i may be missing something but that is my quick ideas..

The easiest way to fix it would be to use smaller holes near the pressure end that get larger down the pipe. You may end up with too much spray though.
