Family "inside" joke:

I was a poor struggling college student, and I splurged money I didn't really have on a $750 parrot. My father asked me, "How much did you pay for that bird??!!??" I thought quickly, and said, "Well dad, if it lives to be 80 years old like they say it can, it works out to pennies a day!" (I turned and walked away, and never did answer his question.)

Moral of the story? Play your cards right, and maybe a nice Pentair UV sterilizer can be just "pennies a day."

Yeah, unfortunately reefing is only one of about 6 hobbies I have. Two of my hobbies, one being reefing, get the majority of the "hobby budget" and I have another one on the rise this year that's going to take a larger portion...ugh so many hobbies, so little money...why can't I just win the lottery real quick?
