Looking for a lighting solution for my stand. I don't have a fuge...just want something to turn on when I open the doors (will use my Apex and magnetic prox swith for control). I don't have much space (its a 30" stand) so I need something light weight and low profile? Any suggestions?

There are ton of little 2.5 - 8w LED bulbs reasonably priced now that can screwed into a std medium base of Candelabra/E-12 base. Most Home Centers or even Costco if you want a 3-6pack.

Cheers, Todd

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have a look at HD next time I'm out. Another option that I've found are "under cabinet" LED strips. I have some feelers out to find out just how bright some of those are...

I have this lighting strip, and it is quite bright. selectable colors and dimming. Got mine at costco for a few bucks less, but worth checking out. I might just need to do an undertank remodel and use some of these myself.

There are specific cabinet lights at your hardware store. Most of them stick on and are LEDs. You press the face of them to turn them on. That might be a cheap option.

I went to IKEA and for $8 each I picked up a couple of 24" fluorescent lights. They have a cover over the bulb keeping salt out and they have a good length power cord. In use for over 2 years with zero signs of salt damage or any problems.
