I have 30 and 40 gallon Brute Containers for mixing my Saltwater. Every time I have to clean the Fluval U2 Filter, with it‘s 16 parts, I keep saying this is the last time. Looking for recommendations for an In Tank Filter, that’s easy to clean, and can hold a bit of Charcoal** and can move the water fast enough to quickly dissolve the Salts.
** I want the Charcoal in case Aerosols have been used near the mixing Brutes, just for a little peace of mind.

Just to be clear - are you saying that you want to filter your mixing tank with an 'in container' filter? If so - I would carefully look at your salt - some have specific recommendations as to how long they should be stored, mixed. To answer your question, I would keep it simple. Use a power head attached to soda bottle - filled with floss. You can also then put in a net bag of carbon, etc. There are no real things to clean when you want to clean it - just take out the floss and rinse or replace the carbon. Personally, I just have a circulating pump on for some hours before I am going to change water. This has 2 functions 1) it re-suspends anything that might have settled and 2) it heats the water (with the pump I use, after 4 hours the temperature matches the 78 degree tank). Hope this helps.

I bought this, just got it yesterday, ordered it on May 11th. I think Amazon miss placed the order. When it didn’t arrive when they said it would, I inquired, got it two days later.
