Hey all, need some help planning for some corals I've got coming in.

The tank is an 8 gallon with 15Ws of LED. I have a ricordea yuma, trumpet and hammer so far. The incoming corals are echinata, micromussa, ricordea, rhodactis, frogspawn, and acan. I realize they are all med-low light but I'm wondering which one's I can put a little higher up. Any suggestions for placement?

Also, any suggestions on what I can put towards the top of the tank? It seems 15W is too strong to put corals like I've got coming in at the top but too weak for SPS.

Thank you.

I'd feel confident in placing any of those mid-high in your setup. I run 160w LEDS in a 24x24 tank and haven't had anything but good results in placing those mid tank. Just keep a close eye and pull them down if they start looking not so good. Lighting mistakes are quite forgiving if you're watching as opposed to water chemistry mistakes which can kill overnight.

Thanks Liquid. You said mid and high would be fine, would you be comfortable placing them at the bottom as well?

I always place new corals on the bottom for a couple of weeks and then place them. Watch them and make sure they acclimate to there new home.

How deep is the tank? What are the dimensions?

Thanks Liquid. You said mid and high would be fine, would you be comfortable placing them at the bottom as well?

I'd say anything except SPS will be just fine in the sand/bottom.
