Hey Everyone,
I got my triton results back last week, I was low on iodine and boron and was recommended to does a little P Alpha and Sulphate. I have so far acted on the iodine and boron but also decided I would bring my salinity up to 35ppt. I have been running on the low end (around 33ppt) from the start and with a handful of over fills from my tunze ATO this has been where I have stayed. Everything in my tank has been fine and healthy I just figured while I was adjusting those few trace elements for best coral health I should bring my salinity up as well. I have been topping off with salt water to bring it up and finally got between 34-35 ppt. However it seems like since I have been there my reef octopus 150 (which has been skimming great) is now over filling with what looks like basically salt water. I have it set to the lowest setting(this is where I normally have it as well) and it is still slowly filling with water. Just wondering if there is any correlation or maybe the skimmer needs to get used to the higher salinity?
As always any input is appreciated !!
