Increasing Flow...

Hey guys...started to notice some reddish algae growth in the sand bed of one part of my tank last week. Tanks been up and running for almost 5 months now. I tried to siphon the sand bed a bit and increased my water changes to 10% a week now. I know increasing flow is another option...any ideas? Should I buy another powerhead?

Right now I have a 1050 Koralia...also have a cannister filter...but that's it in terms of flow.
Water parameters are fine. Temp is 77 SG 1.025

I know inverts don't eat cyano if it is that...but I know they can help prevent increase detritus...i have about 10 snails and about 6 hermit crabs right now...

I'll also mention that the testing kit i bought was API (dont Judge I didn't know) and according to that 0 ammonia...0 nitrite...0 nitrate and Ph 8.2....my salifert is in the mail lol

Bad nutrients low flow can be main causes. Do you have any windows open or light hitting the tank from outside your house?

Thanks. I love videos. Its in my nice dark cool basement lol. Im really diligent with maintenence and water changes. Maybe a little too much. Please tell me this is a normal annoyance lol but able to get a hold of
