Increasing led intensity, how long should you do it over?

What ideal percentage can you increase your lighting per day?

I have a RSM Led 50. I have it on 40% blues, 5% whites.

I need to increase intensity to 60% blues, 5% whites. (I like 5% white only)

How long should i safely do it over.
2 weeks? 3 weeks? 4 weeks?

What percentage increase is generally considered steady, per day?
1%? Or 0.5%? How fast can i safely increase percentage wise a day?

How deep is the tank? What are you keeping? If you have red sea led's they have acclimatisation mode you just need to worry about how long you want to run acclimatisation for not set percentages up because the light does that for you based on how long you want to acclimatise your corals and depending on what corals you have and how deep your tank is and how high the lights are from the surface of the water I ran mine for two weeks on acclimatisation mode to one hundred percent on both channels, although I don't run them like that anymore I have blues on longer than whites by having a 3 hour window where they are on 100% on both channels then whites ramp back down slowly then blues then moon powers up depending on moon cycles hope that helps a bit :-)

I have all LPS. Yeah i understand that acclimatise mode and everything. I have a RSM nano. It does work on percentage, because increase 20% over 4 weeks is 5% a week, which is 0.71% a day. 20% over 1 week is 2.85% a day. 20% over 2 weeks is 1.42% a day. So completely different. I feel like 1 month is fine. 2 weeks I'm nervous about. 3 weeks unsure.

Really cant help you, but again, when i see that someone runs leds on 40%, i always imagine glass of water and led above it..... ;)

I have phobia of not enough lights in my tank.....

I understand what you mean in a mathematical way, in that case yes, it's so many percent per week/day, but really it's going to depend on how you feel, I personally went with 2 weeks and kept an eye on everything, my advice would be go for the 3 weeks then and keep an eye on them you can always set the clouds to come on for periods as well as acclimatisation and another thing to keep an eye on is the electric bill too :) your corals will let you know as you go if they respond to clouds by getting bigger like my mushrooms do for the easier example

Thanks everyone. Appreciated. Was helpful to have other views.
