I have a 90 gallon reef tank with 30 gallon sump/refugium ( only in it's 4th week) and the SG is 1.020. What's the best way to increase to 1.025? Over mix salt and add to sump?

Instead of using freahwater RO/DI water for top-off, use mixed saltwater. Simple and nice and slow.

Thank you for the info. I added two chocolate clowns (both small and from same tank at LFS. Added both today. Also one a little bigger than the other, which I read helps when they decide to compete for dominance). I added one peppermint shrimp too in order to clean up a small aphasia problem. (Have about 15 small or tiny ones in 90 gallon tank with 60lbs live rock). Is the slow increase back to proper SG going to hurt my new cool pets?? ; )

Just use 1.025 for your top off water, and you will slowly raise your salinity and all your little friends will be happy..
