Hey all so my 75 gal is running great I'm seeing some coral growth but I cannot get any nitrate or phosphate reading. I run a refugium for 4hrs at night I feed very heavy what can I do to increase theses thanks

How many fish you got? I’d bet if it were a tank full of sloppy eating seahorses you’ll not have that problem.
just one sample: Add fish? Forgot to add, I realize they have commercial additives for both if thats not feasible, but if you have a sand bed, there is opportunity for bio load there: Cucumbers et

Along with how many fish, what exactly and how much do you feed each day? Could you supply of pic of your tank and refugium for context? Do you use GFO, chemi-pure or anything else that directly removes phosphate or nitrate?

Right now I have 2 clowns 2 chromis 1 sm tomini tang 1 sm one spot foxface 2 cleaner shrimp. I feed about 20 sinking pellets and about 1 tablespoon of flake and mysis. No I'm not using gfo and I have nothing in that absorbs either. The only things in it is the refugium.

Reef roids may help with phosphate.

What's in your refugium? Can we see a pic of your DT and refugium? Macro-algae exports/consumes phosphate, nitrate, & iron. It may be too much export for your low import/feeding amount.

Here's the refugium
Sorry for the dt pic is 1030 here and my lights haven't come on yet

How old is your tank?

It doesn't make sense to me that you run macro-algae in refugium, while dosing phosphate & nitrate.

New tank, dry rock with algae on it.

Your test kits aren't sensitive enough to measure nitrate(API), and the algae is soaking up the phosphate.

One option to increase no3 and po4 is to take your refugium offline for awhile... basically just shut off the light for awhile or reduce the about of chaeto. See if that helps, if not then maybe dosing this items.

The tank is about 6 months. I'm not dosing anything at the moment. The rock was from my old 60 so it was good I'm trying to dial in the refugium but on the edge and since it's newish I need some to avoid dino
