Question to the group - with the following background
- a 180 (Cade) lit by Gen5/T4 hydrid
- MOL 14 months of age with water
- when new, had a friend read the PAR at @ 350 on surface, 270 at rock level. Have not read it since, so assume this is only a starting place
- good thick coralline on all the rocks, several varieties, had a KB rock added @ 3-4 month of age
But for some time we have this clear height level of coralline on the back glass. Sorry the tank photos are better with the T4s on, but i missed that 3.5 hour cycle
Have a sister tank - 90 lagoon - with similar light set up with similar phenomenon - 3rd picture down, but this has coralline on gates to the overflows.
So is it possible that this line across the back is an indicator of PAR sensitivity of this coralline strain? It has never been higher than this.
Had my finger on the buy/trade in from BRS but hear stories of unreliability on the unit - will see.
Edit- so have others seen their coralline only go so far up the back like this? is it possibly too high a PAR above that line?
