I’m no expert, but I’ve had this happen to me. It looks like the coral was in the process of splitting, and then gave up because it didn’t have enough energy to complete the process. When a coral is splitting, it uses a lot of energy for that process and target feeding helps immensely. JMHO

That torch does Not look happy at life. I cannot say that any of my torches have looked exactly like this while splitting, But they all do go through various phases of weird.
A lot of my corals seem unhappy at this moment im assuming it’s because of 0.9ppm nitrate reading I jus took my DKH is 8.6 and my phosphates are at 0.04 Cal is high from over dosing 574 and Mg is in between 1300-1320

Sub 1 ppm nitrates will leave a lot of LPS/Softies looking angry.

That’s what I’m thinking is the problem because I haven’t changed anything except turning off my mini gfo/carbon reactor and I also turned off my skimmer to try to dirty up the water column a lil bit I’m thinking my tank is too clean

When was the last time you cleaned your entire sandbed, all the way down to the glass? Do you think there’s a chance there’s a lot of crap in there? Nice collection, by the way.

It’s also lps/softy dominate besides a RBTA and a birds nest frag
Then definitely get that nitrates ppm up.

If you get up to 10-15, and stable for a few months, I'd bet your lps/softies nem look a lot healthier.

Instead of taking the skimmer offline, can you just unplug the drain and let it drain back to keep aeration?

I never really disturb it for the most part I have moved a lil around a couple times but not so much didnt wanna release any toxic gases or what not… but thank you sir I’m jus nervous asf cuz my torches are high end pieces n I definitely can’t afford to lose them lol
