So I have a 3 decent pieces of indo torch in my frag tank at the moment. When I got them they were great and vibrant. I acclimated them like i do with all my corals and am afraid they didn't like my tank lighting coming from the t5s that the person I got them from had. I have a shallow frag tank, about 8 inches deep 20 inches by 20 inches. Lighting with an ai prime hd centered Bout 10 to 12 inches off the water. I set the lighting in 50 percent reduction for acclimation. Still bleached them. I have since moved them to the edge of the tank and I think they are still being beaten up. I am afraid to lower the lighting much more because of all the other corals in the tank, which are doing awesome, even the other euphyllia.
Would it be a good idea for me to lay something dark over the tank to sort of shade the torches so they can recover? I don't have a ton of flow, I am using a Cobalt mj1200 for the return pump and that's all the water movement I have in the tank. I'd appreciate any thoughts
