Any reason to get the more expensive Indonesia vs the cheaper Philippines specimen? Looking on here, seems both are suspect cyanide fishing regions. Would one have better coloration or something?

Indonesia is slightly less of a cyanide region compared to the Philippines.

Also certain regions do better than others - Philippines specimens don’t do as well as Indonesian specimens and there was at one point a scenario where Indonesian specimens did worse than Australian specimens. However the Aussie vs Indo specimens are no longer more or less difficult than the other.

Honestly, I personally dont think theres any true difference for the buyer to take into consideration nowadays. Id imagine its based far more on the supply they receive. Perhaps Im just a little cynical towards big companies these days, but I doubt theyre statistically calculating the risk of a fish collected irresponsibly and then converting the risk to monetary value to charge customers precisely the correct price.
I think they likely know that people see a higher price and psychologically equate a higher price with greater value. People pay for perceived value, not necessarily true value.

Also shipping from the Philippines is cheaper than Indonesia so they can have a lower retail price.

True...If I remember correctly, over 50% of fish that supply the market are collected in the Philippines...I dont recall how much more than 50%. Indonesia supplies plenty of fish as well but they export far more coral
