Inexpensive base rock

I took everyone's advice and headed to Facebook marketplace. Got 70 pounds of rocks for $70.

It's dead rock from a tank that's been down for 5-6 years.

I'm thinking my best option is to put it in a tub and let it cure for 6-8 weeks before adding it? Guess it would be bad idea to add any before curing it.

That's after I tossed a few big chunks in my qt that I'm cycling. I added biospira to it yesterday so that may speed the process up.
