Infection on tail?

Appears he picked up an infection maybe? Should I treat with Kanaplex, Metro, or both?
Just finished 14days of coppersafe. So maybe now it will heal on its own?

Looks like fin rot, kanaplex and metroplex will help stop any bacterial infection. Although if water parameters are in check and the fish is healthy it can fight it on its own.

That was kinda my thought. Just transferred them to a clean QT last night. I'll probably give him until at least tomorrow to see if there's any change.

That looks pretty mild. You may be able to just add vitamins to his food to help boost the immune system so it can heal on it's own. Otherwise, I'd just start with kanaplex and I'm pretty sure that would take care of it.

What do you mean by "add vitamins to his food"?

There are many food enrichers in the market like selcon, you can soak your normal food in them to provide extra nutrients and vitamins which will help boost the fish immune system to recover from the infection. Medication is stressful on fish and might weaken their immune system, and you mentioned that you just finished copper treatment on him.
