Not sure what the sandy looking stuff is or wether it’s causing the irritation, if the pod looking bugs are the problem, or both. Thanks for looking
 
top and bottom look like nudi. Top middle bottom middle right .
 
Maybe, I haven’t seen the nudis themselves though. The little things you can see 5 or 6 of in the upper shot and a couple in the lower scurry around on legs though. They seem to have a long proboscis that sweeps around and in the upper pic it looks to me like they’re using it to suck on the zoas like aphids on plants. I think the little brown specs might be something that forms from the bite wounds. Could be something growing too though I don’t know.
 
Looks like eggs all over them. Not sure if they are from the pods. Does not look like nudis eggs because those have the swirly pattern to them.

I think I’ll start with a dip and see if I can’t clean them off some with a baster.
