Info needed on Radion gen 3 pro xr15

Some questions about this light.
can it grow sps? Can it be controlled from a phone? And can it be programmed with a basic on off switch. Thanks!

2. mobius is an app for handheld devices and operates via bluetooth so you must physically be in range to use the app.
3. i'm not sure i understand what you mean. the fixture is as programmable as anything available.

How long do radions typically last? This is a gen 3 so what’s the difference between it and the new gen 5s

my bad, I actually misread your post and thought you were asking about gen 5's.
I never had owned gen 3's but as far as I remember to have a mobile device required reef link which was sold separately. also, the led's themselves have changed form from pucks of lights to more of a panel which leads me to believe gen 5 diffusers won't work.

I don't believe Gen 3 can be controlled remotely or via phone without the ReefLink, which is no longer manufactured. Some of the G4 ones can be upgraded to work with Mobius; EcoTech might sell an add-on chip to make G3 Radions work with Mobius, but I honestly can't remember if it does work for G3 or if it's strictly for the early-model G4 Radions.
