For those of you who have owned or currently own a Bluejaw trigger, could you give me info on them?
Best Diet?
Best size to buy?
How much aggression can they take?
How to keep it from hiding all the time?
Should i get a single male or a pair?
How safe is my CUC?

All info is much appreciated:D

FYI I have owned one once before but he was very shy and died from ick within a month:(

I had a male years ago. Purchased it at about 4" and was probably 6" when it finally died a few years later (MV got it along with everything else). I just fed things like shrimp, mysis, brine and pellets. It basically ate whatever was put in the tank (even nori). It was a FOWLR tank with no CUC, but I've heard they can go after those. Mine was always out with the other fish and was not shy at all after a week or so. It seems the females tend to be the shy ones from what I've seen. I currently have another male in QT. I was ready to put it in my 240g but have an Ich outbreak, so I may add it to my son's 60g for a while.

Thanks for the info!

They are pretty reef safe as they won't pick on corals. But shrimp and CUC will most likely be picked off.

I keep mine in my reef tank, he's great, friendly, I've had no trouble with him and my shrimp or corals, but I've seen others at fish shops picking at things, so I think it's case by case and their personality, personally

Okay thanks!
