I have a 75 gallon tank without a sump using a canister filter have about 70 pounds of reef saver rock in it and a 2 inch sand bed. The cycle is complete I put 2 clown fish in it not even a week ago and 2 fire shrimp.I plan on adding more fish slowly so I was wondering if it would be a bad move to add tiger pods at this time?

Why would you want to buy pods?
Wouldn't they get into the rock and sand bed and reproduce? I no after I get fish that will eat them that I would have to replenish them but if I put them in now with no predators they would populate the tank

I realize that now after doing some research about clown fish eating them just thought it would make a good food source for future fish and the clowns not to mention the tank looks empty at the moment and they would add some life 2 the tank

For a mandarin, you want Tisbe pods. The adult Tisbe pods inhabit rocks and sand and the Mandarin will be able to eat them off those surfaces. The Tiger pods are free swimming as adults and more likely to be consumed by other fish rather than the mandarin.
You can certainly add them now and start building up your population. A sump and refugium would help them continuously populate your tank. If you are unable to do that, you can have a separate pod culture and transfer them into the tank on a regular basis. A couple 5 gallon tanks and an air pump are all that's required to culture the tisbe pods.

Tiggerpods aren't really what you want for your DT, as they won't usually survive predation. So you want to use smaller pods, that will generally survive predation. Tisbe or Apocyclops pods are what you really want. But without a refugium, your mandarin will likely eat all of those pods, and then start to starve. So if you want a mandarin, you'll want a refugium. Tigger pods are fine if you want to cultivate them seperately and feed them to your tank daily, for your mandarin and other fish.
