Hello,

I have an Long tentacle anemone that was injured by something on its side. It is eating but keeps detaching itself and roaming around the tank. It also has a wound on its side that looks like cotton stuffing is coming out of it (best description I can give). There is no smell coming from him but I am concerned if he is dying and I should remove him or if he is healing... any advice or insight would be helpful, thank you!

Put some amino acids in the tank and let it heal. Seachem stressguard might help it heal but it's made for fish so I'm not sure if it would work for the anemone
I've had one get injured from a tear on the side due to a wavemaker and it healed up.

You can see a little bit on the side where it is coming out, he looks otherwise good but it worries me that he keeps throwing himself off of the rocks and walls

Don't worry!
I had mine and it survived tank crash.
It was floating around for days like big ball that was half see-through.
I though he was dead but then spotted him on rock. Few days later floating around again.
This was going on for about 8-9 days.
Afterward he settled underneath the rock and haven't seen him for about month.

I was concerned it died but then just couple of weeks ago I noticed little orange tentacles sticking out from underneath the rock. Day after day a bit more.

As for about month and a half ago he was of a size of half an inch.
Now is slowly getting bigger as I'm feeding him reefroids with phyto and Cyclops. Tiny drop everyday. I ensure he gets something into his mouth.

Compare it to what it was 1,5/2 months ago I am so happy.
If I saw him in someone else's tank I would have thought what on earth is that?! Some dead piece of coral?

All I would say give him time. He looks fine and healthy-ish. Try not to disturb him and depends on how often you feed him at the moment, get him used to having some food more often.

Normally I would feed these guys 1-2 times a week. If they been poorly and you can see progress in recovery start slowly feeding more.
Do not overfeed thou. Increase feeding just a bit compared to what you used to do.
One he is spitting food out with kinda slimy mucus- sign for you - next time give him little Less.
