Hello All,

I have had my Tank for right at two years now (110 Gal DT) and the first fish I put in it back then were two pairs of clowns. They have had their occasional issues with each other, but last month one of the females (my Fancy Orange) got super aggressive and has been picking at both the male and female black pair, but mostly the female. I had the seperated on and off for awhile and this last time i put them all back together, 3 days ago, the black female got tore up pretty good. I didnt realize it then but i now see that it loks like both of her lower rear fins were damaged badly.

I already feed Selcon every day and I have her in a breeder net/cage in the tank. are these injuries too bad to heal on their own?

What else can I do for her?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Put the bully into an acclimation box and let the injured heal freely. Agree with above that a good diet will help

Thank you both for the quick responses.
I had the bully in that same breeder net in time out for a week and thought she might have gotten over it and decided to try it one more time with the caviot that I would rehome the black pair to a friend of mine if it didnt work out.
That all played nice for about two days....
I put the black female back in because she was pretty beat up, all fins frayed and she was real stressed.
I actually noticed her injurries as I was trying to catch the black male to take to the both to my friends house. I obvioulsy need to keep her until she is healed.
I will keep an eye on her.
I feed only a frozen mixed variety with Selcon in both AM & PM feeding and Garlic in the PM feeding every day.

Thank you for the advice!

I think it will heal - watch for infection/worsening. Until healed - I would separate the fish from others. I'm not sure Selcon is a benefit here, but won't hurt.

Im seeing a very multicolored fish in pic but aggressor which is likely the larger one being female will have to be isolated alone for 2-3 weeks allowing beat up fish to eat, heal and get comfortable within the tank

Thank you both for your replys.

I have her seperated form everyone now, the bully is extreamly tough to catch so I may need to allow the injurred one to heal seperately.

I will keep an eye on her for infection and make sure she continues to eat.

Thank you !

Bottle trap can work. Either way it's the bully who should be put in time out.
