Looks like my clown got a couple of gashes. Not sure how, maybe from a rock or one of the tangs got her. Anything I need to worry about? Catching her would be a chore for certain.

Yes, if you're able to get her out of there and into quarantine. Those cuts could become infected and then you'll have to catch her and treat her anyway.

My money is on the tangs. Never seen gashes that deep from rubbing up against a rock.

The Tangs did that. Classic gash from a Tang.

More of a curiosity question but could you dose an antibiotic to the DT without any adverse effects to other livestock or corals? Save trying to wrangle the girl into a qt and possibly prevent it from getting to that point to begin with

Don't know. Would need someone else to answer that.

Sorry Den that was more of a question directed on your behalf and not to you directly lol I'm hoping someone will chime in on it

No you really can not dose antibiotics to the display without risk of adversely affect the biological filter. In an established system that could be disastrous. IMO the risk out way the potential benefit.

Thanks Tahoe, figured it would be worth a shot to ask

Thanks, kind of figured that would be the case

Just had a similar issue with what looks to be a fight with my whitetail bristletooth tang and my large female clown. I have seen them fight before but never any injuries. I did not see this fight but she clearly lost as the tang looks fine and still being a butt hole.
