Injured Toadstool

These are tough corals and my instinct is it will be just fine. Mine seems to close up from time to time and bounce back no problem. The hole is a bit strange, but if there is no obvious cause, and it has been happy in that location, I would just leave it alone and keep an eye on it.

The hole is probably my fault. It got too close to a clove coral. I suspect that is what caused it.

They are tanks. Should be fine unless something went massively wrong. I had a 2 year stint where I completely neglected my tank. Its a long sad story I won’t get into, but I essentially did absolutely nothing and left the skimmer just overflowing for 2 years. Fish got fed but thats it. Everything died except my leathers, a couple clowns, and a blue chromis. Here is a pic of the tank before, and during that dark period of neglect. You can see the toadstools toughed it out! You should be fine.
