Injury or parasite on CBB?

I have never seen such a thing, but look at this spiky thorn-like thing on the side of my new CBB (2 weeks in my tank). Maybe a tang harassed him? Is this an injury? Or a parasite?

Could really use a side shot of fish as this looks like a loose scale/skin tag from injury but want to confirm
