Injury to BTA just now

Hello All!

I just committed the biggest rookie mistake today:

I finished my weekly water change today in my Fluval EVO 13.5 gallon tank and then my BTA decided to start roaming the tank while I was cleaning up and putting all the equipment away. I forgot to turn off my Jebao SW-2 Wave Maker and the anemone got pulled against the protective grid that surrounds the prop. I found it pretty close to when it happened so was able turn off the wave maker and free the BTA. So far I see that none of the tentacles were damaged or cut but I did see that there is a small gash (about 1/2 inch) close to the mouth. Two images attached.

I wanted to ask the following here:

Is this already a death sentence for my BTA or might it recover?

Do I need to worry about the other inhabitants of the tank (1xRoyal Gramma, 2xClown fishes, 1xTiger Conch, 5 hermit crabs)?

Is there anything I need to do to help it along?

I'd be surprised if there are any issues. So long as your tank parameters are good and the BTA is otherwise healthy, it should be fine. I have been trying to kill two GBTA's that are wreaking havoc on my SPS's to no avail. I know, sacrilege, but I gotta do what I gotta do but still can't succeed short of grinding it up.

Suck one right up an Aqua Clear HOB filter.
Took some time to get him out.
Was just fine.
No worries, just leave him.
Very resilient unless you chop him up.

Ammonia - 0ppm
Nitrite - 0.1ppm
Nitrate - 2.5ppm
Phosphate - 0ppm
Alk - 8.3dkh
Calcium - 500
Salinity - 1.025sg
PH - 7.2
Temp - 78.8

Good luck in your battle with the GBTA's. It just seems that the creatures you don't want are the ones that thrive lol!

Thanks for the reply! So glad to hear they are more resilient than I realized. It will definitely be interesting to see how it recovers from this mishap. BTA's are strange little creatures for sure.
