Ink bird failure?

I also had issues with the temperature reading drifting. Contacted the company and they sent me the rubberized probe to replace the stainless one at no cost. Been right as the mail ever since.

I have the blue inkbird non wifi, I think it's a plastic or rubber probe not metal. Have it set for 77F which displays on the SV screen. Probe read 76.8F and dropped to 76F where the work1 lit up and powered on the heater. It still shows 76F on PV and 77F on SV. I think the heater has been on more than an hour. The PV keeps reading 76. Anyone have this problem?

Its brand new and I haven't used one of these controllers before so I'm not entirely sure I have it set right.
