Really don’t have a set one yet but I was looking at the ones with the option of heating and cooling

before I go and buy this setup the ones with the cooling plug can I plug in a fan and will it switch on?
Yes, I have one on my tank which keeps it heated in winter and cooled in summer.

It just works automagically.

Just make sure you get an appropriately sized fan with enough blow

I think that's the one I have. Get a big enough fan. My wife keeps house between 78-80. I have my ink bird set at 76 and it has no problem dropping my temps back down to 76 once they creep up to 77. Really doesn't come on alot maybe 3x a day and we live in az. Proper size fan and you should be good to go

Can you post the fan you have so I can get an idea is it your build thread?

Okay cool and it keeps the temp down good?
Yep, it works really well for me. I hooked up a standard 12v cpu fan to my 13.5 and it cools the tank way faster than the heater heats. if it turns on it’s usually only on for a few minutes since it cools back down so fast

I should say though. How well it works depends on your relative humidity as well. If you have high humidity I don’t believe the fan works nearly as well.

Indoors my humidity tends to stay below 50% where I am. Haven’t seen it go higher than 35% in my new house yet so the fan works great for me lol.

Yessir same tank as my build thread. I have a 15" wall mounted fan over a 24×48 lowboy 80 gallon, frag tank. It may be 110 gallons total with sump.
I like bigger is better for cooling.

Wow now that’s what I’m talking about lol
Hope I could be helpful for you. I had chiller set up that I ran all day but it didn't last very long lol. Very easy set up and super efficient. Most of my heat comes from the t5s I'm running. You may not need as much depending on your ambient temps, tank size and such. Looks like all I need to do now is clean that fan haha
