Hello to all ink bird customers, help me to clear up my mind about their steel probe that causes copper in a reef tank environment; am I wrong, or just safe?

We want to avoid metals in a saltwater tank. The thinking is that over time, the metals leach into the water.
That being said, some electrical equipment like power heads and wave makers have spindles made of metals.
I have the same inkbird as you, “metal” probe, been in my DT for years and I am having no issues.
Inkbird is now making the controller with plastic coated sensors.

I may replace it sometime in the future.
