Inkbird failure

My inkbird temp controller just went crazy. It suddenly started reading 14 deg f higher than the actual tank temp. Has anybody had this happen? I don't understand why this would happen. I'm a little skeptical of using the calibration feature to re cal the temp probe.

Check the probe for corrosion.

You may also be able to test the ohms on the probe as well to make sure its functioning correctly.
