I have the InkBird ITC-306T-wifi which came with stainless steel temp probe and I want to change it to the plastic one so the metal one doesn’t rust and release stuff into the tank. I ordered the plastic probe which came with the pigtail but not the little white connecter my current probe has. I’ll attach pics of what I mean to help understand, wondering if anyone knows how to get the two wires out of the white connecter so I can put the new pigtail into the connecter.

There are tabs on the backside of the connector. You would lift this small tab to release the terminal from the connector. However, you will need new terminals to properly install the new cable wires. If you can solder, you could splice the new wire into the old wire with terminals...or just solder directly to the head pins on the PCB itself.

I got the connecter off, I’ve tried soldering before and gotta admit, it was terrible lol. What would that connector be called in order to get a new one? Or should I contact InkBird directly

Looks like a Tyco ep2.5 style header/connector. You would still need the terminals and a crimping tool ideally. I would suggest using a butt splice instead of soldering in your case.

I think I’ll do that, their easy to do and won’t cause any headaches. Thank you for your help
