Inland DFS 100 or Gryphon C-40

Looking into buying a new saw. Any pros and cons to these models?

I have an inland and love it very nice cuts and easy to change band as for the other choice i couldn't tell you anything about It good luck

Gryphon - beacuse of the larger work platform, wet sump and higher blade height to handle larger pieces. Both of them have easy to change blades.

I personally use a inland and love it, not one issue with it. Only thing I like to do is add a ball valve to the drip line and leave the built in on all the time.,

Agreed. Just picked up a Gryphon a few weeks ago. Epic saw, large Res and platform, easy to clean

I have a db100 thats shot. I'm gearing towards the Gryphon due to the larger area. Are the parts readily available like the Inland?

I have used the gryphon. It's a well but machine. Well thought out. Easy blade replacement. The biggest key is the reservoir is bigger than the inland. Replaceable guide blocks. I think you would be far better off with the gryphon. Happy hunting.

theres pros and cons on both
for the inland, the main thing i like about it and the main reason i bought one was the clearance
the inland saw has a higher clearance then the gryphon. i do think the gryphon is a much better built saw.
the reservoir for the gryphon is a pool of water apposed to the inland is fresh water going down, which only matters to how much you cut at one time
in terms of the small size of the reservoir on the inland, thats a very easy fix. just get a bigger container with a barbed fitting that will fit the airline hosing and raise it above the saw.
a great thing about the gryphon is that it's self tensioning (if thats a word) while the biggest flaw with the inland is that you have to tension the wheel with a nylon screw to make sure the blade doesnt come off
ive had my inland for 5 years and never had an issue with it but i have heard a lot of people constantly replacing theirs
the only thing i change is the blade and guide and that was only once and i used to use it A LOT
main points, build quality and design better for gryphon
clearance height higher for inland

i use a gryphon also....i used to use inlands but after replacing two motors i decided to go with a gryphon. i like how the motor is on top and resevoir is on the bottom

Quick Question-

I vaguely remember someone saying the gryphon c40 saw has a copper blade? or theres copper in it? Have gryphon users been replacing this blade before using or is it to go as is? I'm looking to purchase one at aquariumspecialty since i think they have the lowest prices. let me know if somoene knows where to get one cheaper. But mainly i'd like to know if the stock blade it comes with is good to use.

Yeah comes standard with a copper blade. Just toss it and buy the steel ones off Amazon. I personally like Kent Blades
