High im trying to design a mainfold for my sump,
if i use a inline uv , can i go from manifold tap to uv to sump?
or does the uv output have to go back inline for pressure etc?
(manifold comes off return pipe)
Thanks
Mark

You could do either. It really boils down to the the flow rate through the UV. Check the manufacturers recommendation for that. The only problem with running a manifold off a single return pump (I do too FWIW) is potentially having to upsize the pump to accommodate the loss in flow through whatever is fed off the manifold.
The upside and downside to returning the water from the UV to the sump is:
A. More water ultimately getting through the UV
B. Potentially less water from the display going through the UV.
In theory, eventually all the water will be cycled through the UV, but it will take longer as the water in the sump is actually recirculating from Sump to UV to sump etc.

HI,
my pump will be 3000 lph on a 270 litre tank
if i have a tap both before the uv, and after the uv to control both ends so i can set it to the correct lph, would that work to output straight into the sump?
