Got a bunch of these guys in my tank…never seemed to bother anything but I just got a clam so I want to be sure. They‘re small, this one is 0.8 cm and they’re all about that size, give or take. They hide out in the rocks all day and are up on the glass at night. Good, bad or inconsequential?

Can you get pictures of the eyes?
Not a whelk. Safe snail . just not sure which snail it is, but could be a form of nano snail.

;Smuggrin Unfortunately that’s the best I got photography-wise! As long as I know it’s safe I don’t need an id. Thank you!

The trunk isn't tattoo looking. Whelks have a nice dark pattern trunk and a pretty large foot.

My guess is the Dove snail (Columbellidae sp.) or the Nano conch (Strombus maculatus). They will breed in aquariums.
This! Predatory snails will usually react to food, these guys just want algae to graze on.
