Innovative Marine 14 Peninsula build

Hey guys! Have had fish only tanks for a while now and it’s been a few months since I’ve had a reef and am ready to get back into coral keeping with this new setup. Here’s some of the equipment I’ll b using.

Tank - IM 14
Light - AI hydra 32
ATO - Smart micro ATO
Rock - Life-rock branch (10lb)
Sand - carribsea black sand
Heater - aquatop 100 watt titanium heater

At the moment I don’t need a Powerhead in addition to the return pump that comes with the tank. Eventually I’m sure I’ll add a powerhead and in that case I’ll likely go with an eco-tech mp10. I also won’t b running a skimmer, but I may eventually use one of the back chambers for a small refugium. The only filtration I’m running rn is chemipure elite. I’ll add some marine pure cubes or spheres as soon as I can get my hands on them. Lol.

Love the Aquascape. What type of corals do you plan to have?

Sorry for late response. Im planning to do a mixed reef here. However I would like to have a nice zoa garden, Florida ricordea garden, and various other corals. Not looking to do anything super crazy.

Hey. Wanted to do an update on the build. Will be adding pics soon. The tank currently has 3 fish in it, a red fire fish, a very small mccoskers flasher wrasse, and a small royal gramma. I also added a few Florida ricordea, a few facials, a Duncan, and some zoas! Will be adding more corals soon hopefully and maybe another small fish or two.
