Ok, so I'm currently having technical difficulties with my new set-up (Nuvo 16gal). It has been up and running since December 2nd and everything is doing fine. All parameters are great. Ammonia 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm and trates are 0ppm as well. SG is 1.024, the display tank isn't the problem, but in the back of the tank where the filtration is. I get algae built up back there and frequently clean it out. Does anyone know how to help prevent this? Also, for those innovative marine tank owners, what filtration are you using and how well has it worked? I currently run filter floss, sponge filter, carbon, purigen and have some ceramic bio media thrown in there for extra surface area. I am also running a skimmer

I have a 38 nuvo and also get algae in back area I have been told to use plastic folders and cut to fit where u can. I run mesh media bags inside the tray with extra phos in it and another media bag as a filter sock.
