So my dorm has a limit of 20 gallons and I think that the IM 20 Pen could be a nice fit. I already know that it COULD fit but I’m not 100% sure about moving it in and out of the dorm. Holding a 30” x 12” x 13” gals box sounds a bit awkward to move. I’ll also be buying the stand to go with it so I have a place to put the tank. Looks like when the tanks empty it weights close to 60lbs too, not terrible to move around o guess

the IM 20 pen. is a nice tank for sure BUT the only problem is lighting it. it will take 2 AI prime or the bigger brother. the tank is long and narrow not many good lights build for that foot print.

my suggestion get the fiji cube 20 peninsula its a great tank I have it. one AI prime or the like can light it. I think it will fir your dorm better too.

I would just get help carrying it, sure you could do it not prob. but once slip and you will be crying in the corner.

what are you going to do for water change and when you go on vacation? something to think about and have a plan.

It’s going to be freshwater so I don’t have to worry about water changes, won’t be leaving much either so it’s not an issue

SO you fancy an AIO vs other tank then?
there are some nice clear silicone tanks out there theses days. I am thinking of starting my 1st FW aquascape.
