Newest shot of tank. 2.5 months in. I'm amazed at how it changes with each picture. The vodka dosing is working perfectly. Still need to upgrade the pump, but other than that, no complaints at all.

I'm not sure who makes the pump. From what I've read, people are just getting a larger, quieter pump. Some of the other im strings have that info mentioned.

The newest addition to my little reef. Pink tipped haitian anemone. :) Settling in nicely.

Nope, no skimmer. They do make one that fits in the reservoir but I haven't tried it.

Algae update- Here's what I've done to try to mitigate the algae. The only thing that's been accomplished is a change in the shade of green, lol!
1. Shortened the day light cycle on the lighting
2. Started using PhosGuard about three weeks ago.
3. Got a diamond goby- fixed the sand bed. Pretty much the only win here.
4. More snails and crabs
5. Scrubbed off the rocks. It grew back. :/
6. Added more filter media in the other resovoirs and started changing more frequently.
7. Upgraded to a much more powerful pump- Rio 1700. Had to switch from my spin nozzles back to original nozzles bc the spinners kept getting clogged with algae.

So, nothing has worked. Nothing. Any suggestions here?

Wow, okay, after fighting this mess all summer, I finally found a solution. Changed to a basic filter media in the basket, with the product pictured. I had tried phos guard with little success, but this stuff works. Also took the advice of my lfs and purchased the Red Sea test kit. Worked like a charm. A few water changes, some supplements and for the first time I have almost perfect water! Yes! Algae is dying and all is much better. Thank God!

Products and documentation of the win! Lol!

Pic of algae status. It's almost all dead or dying. :) Lighting is almost dark and camera was correcting. Will try tomorrow when light is full on.

Wow that was a lot of algae, glad you beat it looks awesome now even with low light.

Here's a pic with lights up. Algae is turning to the strange shade of death I've wanted to see for months.
