I want to start a refugium for my tank, an IM SR-60. I primarily want it to grow pods for the fish I have (wrasses) and one day want to have (mandarin). I've talked to the folks at Innovative Marine and they suggested I use their custom cady for this purpose. I'm envisions throwing in some rubble rock, algae, etc. but am wondering if it will be large enough to develop the number of pods I'd like to have. An alternative is to get a HOB refugium and use that but my concern with that is how the intake and outake will work with the mesh screen that comes with the tank, I suppose another alternative is an in-the thank refugium too which I suppose is similar to the custom cady method in the back of the tank vs. placing it directly in the display part of the tank.
As always thanks in advance for your opinions.
