Hello, I just purchased an IM INT 100. I have had tanks for a while, but this is my first sump. The aquarium comes with bean animal style plumbing that goes to the bottom of the tank, but I need to purchase the plumbing to connect to it from the bottom of the tank to my sump.

Do I just need some pvc, some elbows and one gate valve for the return? Can I use flex line?

I am going to run it into a Fiji cube 20 gal long DIY sump kit

And the return pump will be a Jebao DCP-5000. Do I need any connectors for the pump to the return line?

Is there anything else I need? Thanks for your help.

I'd suggest looking at some IM Build Threads and gathering some ideas from successes and failures. Mine is an EXT, but might have some useful info or pictures. I know there are several others of us who have similar tanks and build threads. Hope this helps!

Mine is an EXT also. I used a combination of flex pvc and schedule 40 and silicon tubing for the return and flex pvc for the drains. You need some way for the siphon drain to flow almost all of the drain flow. Most systems have a gate valve.

You might want to consider a check valve on the return.
