For Christmas my girlfriend told me she wanted a tank for the bedroom. The first thought that popped into my mind was freshwater, it would be much easier for her....and more cost effective :) That is until I heard the words "you know, one with a clown and anemone". So needless to say Christmas turned out to be a bit more expensive than I had originally planned.

You could say she picked everything out...but a helpful suggestions on my end played a large role ;)

IM fusion 25g lagoon, upgraded media basket and return pump
AI prime
Homemade stand
Smart ATO
100w heater
IM ghost skimmer
Vortech mp10qd
IM refugium light
20lbs live sand
30lbs of billy hay's DR w/2lb piece of LR

The skimmer, vortech, cobalt mj1200 and refugium light will arrive on Wednesday, more toys for her to open and enjoy. I'm hearing bad reviews on the ghost skimmer, so we'll see how it pans out. Tank is still cycling....boring. I went with the AI prime to save a few bucks, now I'm thinking two would do a better job and should have just bought the XR15 instead (have one on another tank and love it), but I will say the functionality of the prime is just as good as the radion. I love the tank, it's beautiful...but hate the rear sump already.

Updates will come, stock list will follow.

The other tank (jbj28)...something to look at during the wait :)

Thanks! I can't wait for the mp10 and reeflink, I wish we didn't have to buy the reeflink just to set a profile/schedule but it seemed worth it for functionality.

All the new toys arrived in working condition, the mp10 is top notch and the upgraded return pump make a big difference. The ghost skimmer took exactly 6 days to break in, no more microbubbles. Tossed a few frags in on new years and everyone seems happy.

What settings are you running on your AI prime? Thanks

I set up a small schedule when the prime arrived (just to get the feel for the app). This is temporary and I'm currently on the hunt for a better schedule, the LPS I tossed in a few days ago seem to like the schedule and they are in the lowest PAR areas of the tank, a small colony of ricordea seem to open well in the shadows. The current schedule has to much white and too little blue. I'm not running lunar, or weather.

Nice tank! Just ordered one. How is the prime working out for you? Does it cover enough of the tank?

It lights up the entire tank no problem. I'm sure the PAR values are pretty low on the outside edges, I have a hammer and two acans in (what I'd assume to be) the lowest PAR area and they don't seem disappointed. The real test will be seeing how a BTA reacts. I have it the highest the mounting arm will let it go.

As for the light itself it's extremely quite (mp10wqd is louder than the fan), stupid easy to program and has had zero hiccups or malfunctions.
