I'm fairly new to the hobby (ran a couple 60 gallon tanks 15 years ago) and I bought the 38 gallon IM mini about 4 months ago. I'm running leds, decent skimmer,a phosphorus sponge and chemi pure elite in the media basket and 60lbs live rock. Wondering if anyone has this new reactor and if its something i should consider. I have an anchor coral, few mushrooms and feather dusters, scooter bleny, watchman goby, cleaner shrimp, purple firefish, and a small perc. Everything is doing really well and water params are good. I would like to add a few more corals soon but want to be sure I dont kill anything. Any suggestions would be awesome!

We've had one of these reactors set up and running in our office tanks, and they're a really good design. Running media such as GFO in such a reactor is certainly beneficial and can help keep your aquarium healthy.

It does sound like you're already using Chemi-Pure Elite along with the phosphate sponge, so unless you are having trouble with phosphates, you may not need to add it on just yet. If you just like the idea of the reactor, you can always put your Chemi-Pure into the media reactor (complete with the media bag). I hope this helps.
