innovative marine mightjet dc return pump went haywire

I have a 25 lagoon with the mightjet, had it on feed mode, put it back to regular mode, and it began pumping water out of the return chamber until there was none left, turned it off, let it fill back up, same thing several more times regardless of how low i set it. Is the pump shot? should i try adding more water to the aquarium? I installed a media reactor with bio pellets yesterday and it was fine all day and night so i dont think its related to that. any insight? thanks

How long have you owned it? Was it operating properly before or did you just add this to your Lagoon 25 AIO? It sounds like it is putting out too much flow and your overflows cannot keep up. Could be that the controller has an issue. If it’s within the warranty period, I’d contact Innovative Marine. If it’s out of warranty, see if you could buy a new controller from them.

ive had it for 5 months, no problems until just now, everything was working fine and it seems to have just spazzed out

When you ramp the pump up and down on the controller, does the flow from the return nozzles ramp as well or is it constant?

Constant, I just made some fresh saltwater and topped it off with about a gallon, running fine now but something was definitely wrong before. If that happens when I’m not home I’m going to have a problem on my hands, calling IM tomorrow
