So i have the desktop version, and i was wondering eventually after my tank cycles do i want to put biopellets in it or carbon? At first my tank is gonna be fish only and i'm going to slowly add some corals

I would say carbon and down the road maybe gfo & carbon depending on what corals you add later on

I love the reactor and while I just run gfo in it right now I have run both in in before.

Maybe add some of the marine pure blocks or balls somewhere to help reduce nitrates. Some people have talked of aluminum leaching but seems it’s very minimal and not enough to cause any issues and lots of people swear they work.

The more fish you add the more bioload you create that can make your work harder or easier with some corals.

Ok thank you very much for the info. I have a media caddy that sits in the sump in the back of the tank. I was thinking putting the carbon there and maybe using gfo in that
