Innovative marine Nuevo skim desktop problem

My nano tank is 5 months old and going thru the ugly stage. I purchased the IM Nuevo skim desktop model and started using it 1month ago. I previously was using an Ice Cap K1. The Ice Cap produced lots of dry skim. I only switched because the Ice Cap broke. My Problem with the IM is that is only filling the cup daily with clear water. Ive tried numerous cup adjustments, and I also have bubbles coming out at the rubber ring on the outside of the cuo.

Welcome, I have no experience with the IM skimmer, but I do have experience with the IceCap K1 Nano skimmer. Mine also stopped working every so often, and the issue was always the little pump. IceCap sells replacements through CoralVue here. If you haven't tossed it yet, might be worth a shot

I also had a lot of problems with this skimmer in my nano tank. I couldn't get the skim to dry no matter how I adjusted the height, which seems to be your issue as well.

Which model of tank do you have? I switched to a Tunze Comline DOC Skimmer 9001 and have been really happy. I use the same model in my IM 10 and 30L.

Run at low air mixture and also real in. The k1 unit I like a lot

i had a IM skimmer on a 40 and it worked like a charm - just played with the setting, but it sounds ,like you did that
have a 15 WB desktop and don’t use (or need) a skimmer and it is pretty loaded

I do have an airstone in the media chamber of the 15 WB that is 60% of the advantage of a skimmer in a small tank in my opinion
