Hey I have a nuvo 40 aio and I was wondering if anyone has removed the sump section and drilled it to instal a overflow box. I already contacted IM and they said they don’t use tempered glass so it’s drillable. Just wanted to see if anyone done it

I'm sure your project is over, but I had the same question, and there's no other threads on this. The answer is yes, but it's the biggest PITA fish related diy project I've done. The baffles are so tightly pressed against the glass that there is no room to get any razor in between to cut the silicone. There's also a large glass half wall adhered to the acrylic false wall with about an entire tube of silicone. What you need to do is separate the baffles from the glass half wall, then cut around the false wall. This will allow you to take the half wall and false wall out as one piece. Then you'll need to forcefully rock the now free floating baffles off the back wall and bottom of the tank. I took me over an hour.
